Ashridge Management Courses - Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing the right programme

I am unsure about which is the right programme for me – is there someone who could advise me?
Please call our booking and information line on +44 (0)1442 841026 for a consultation.
Alternatively, if you would prefer a face to face conversation, contact one of our Business Development Managers, mike.davis@ashridge.org.uk or laura.layton@ashridge.org.uk

Can I visit Ashridge prior to making a booking?
Of course, we run regular open days on campus or do give us a call us to arrange a visit at a time that suits you.

Do you offer distance-learning programmes?
No, most of Ashridge’s programmes are residential. Participants find this offers networking opportunities and time away from everyday life to reflect and focus on self development.

Is it possible to contact recent past participants prior to booking a programme?
Yes, please tell us which programme you are interested in and we will do our best to put you in contact with a recent participant. You can also view the Participant Feedback section for each programme to read recent feedback.

Participant profile and information

How many people will be attending my programme?
Your programme coordinator will be able to give you a good guide and can be contacted on+44 (0)1442 841026.
12-20 is the average group size but it does depend on the programme. Ashridge tends to keep its programmes small to ensure that your needs are met.

Are the other participants mainly from multi-national companies?
Our programmes attract a complete range of companies, including SMEs, international organisations and multi-national companies.

Ashridge has a very good reputation, will I be out of my depth?
We hope you will be challenged but not out of your depth. Before you book on to a programme, the programme coordinator and/or programme director will talk through your needs to ensure that you make the right programme choice for your development needs.

International participants

Do your programmes attract many international participants?
Yes, almost all of our programmes attract international participants.

Could you help me apply for my visa?
Yes, once your booking has been confirmed and the appropriate fee paid, Ashridge will send you a letter of invitation. This can then be presented to your local UK Mission Overseas office to support your visa application. If you have any problems whatsoever, do please contact us and we will do whatever we can to assist. For more information about obtaining a visa and who needs to apply, visit the UKvisa website.

Feedback

Will my organisation be contacted to give feedback on my performance?
Ashridge operates a very clear policy that no feedback regarding a person’s performance while on a programme is sent back to the sponsoring organisation. We encourage participants to discuss their learning and further development with their line manager or their HR/management development department on their return to work.

Qualifications

Are all Open Programmes accredited towards the Ashridge Masters in Management?
Yes, attendance on Open Programmes can be credited towards part or all of the face-to-face element of the programme.
