Doctorate in Organisation Consulting

Ashridge Doctorate in Organisation Consulting (ADOC)

Do you see yourself as an experienced ‘reflective practitioner’, interested in ‘action inquiry’ as a method of exploring organisation realities – and view consulting as a ‘relational’ practice?

If so, the Ashridge Doctorate in Organisation Consulting (ADOC) offers you a part-time programme which will develop your consulting practice to a deeper level. The programme was originally created and developed in response to requests from alumni of the highly successful Ashridge Masters in Organisation Consulting and is now inviting applications for its third intake.

This programme will help you:

  • Practice in your chosen field with a level of mastery appreciated by peers and clients
  • Critically evaluate and enhance your professional knowledge
  • Understand and convey ways in which knowledge is constructed in the social phenomenon of organisations and in the practice of consulting and how such knowledge is used to influence learning and organisational transformation
  • Appreciate and demonstrate the ethical aspects of influencing in organisational settings as they apply to the individuals engaged, the organisation involved and the wider contextual socio-ecological systems.

The Ashridge Doctorate in Organisation Consulting can be studied in two ways:

Option One

Starting in January every year, the doctoral programme duration is five years, costing £29,000 (excl. VAT). The structure sees the doctoral programme shadowing the first modules of our acclaimed Masters in Organisation Consulting programme and then continuing beyond this in the later stages to a doctoral level.
The next option one programme starts in January 2011.

Option Two

For those with a compatible qualification to our own Masters in Organisation Consulting programme, such an MSc in Change Management or an MSc in Responsibility and Business Practice, along with relevant experience (both pre-requisites are subject to approval upon application by the doctoral faculty) then the doctoral programme may be started after the Masters programme shadowing, mid-way through. Starting in April, every second year, the doctoral programme duration is three and a half years, costing £23,500 (excl. VAT).
The next option two programme starts in April 2011.

The Doctorate in Organisation Consulting is awarded by Middlesex University
