Ashridge Consulting - Sustainability

Engaging with sustainability

"Every single social and global issue of our day is a business opportunity in disguise, just waiting for the innovation, the pragmatism, and the strategic capacity of great companies to aim higher." - Peter Drucker

As we try to sustain our activities in tough times we often find it harder to engage with the broader challenges facing us. Yet right now signals from this broader context can be a critical source of feedback, intelligence and opportunity and we need more than ever to listen to them.

The sustainability practice at Ashridge exists to support organisations who wish to integrate sustainability challenges into organisational resilience and development work.

Our consultants work with the strategy, change, leadership, talent management and virtual effectiveness teams to ensure that our client activity is sustainable for the long-term.

Alternatively using sustainability as a lens through which to engender other organisational activity can help you to:

  • Bring innovation and R&D for sustainability closer to your strategic intent
  • Fully interrogate assumptions about business models, process and growth
  • Perform and collaborate well in stakeholder rich and multi-sector environments
  • Help leaders understand and embrace sustainability challenges authentically and articulately
  • Realise the possibilities for social and environmental value creation
  • Identify and cultivate the right people for 21st Century success.

We can do this through running multi-stakeholder workshops, executive coaching, working alongside you in a consulting engagement and through our relationship with InterfaceFLOR, one of the world’s most sustainable large businesses, who provide leadership insight from their practical experiences.

Where to start

We have already worked with a number of clients to help them address sustainability at a more strategic level in both a research and consulting capacity.

We offer consulting, research, open and tailored workshops, free events and the opportunity to learn from the hands on experiences of InterfaceFLOR.
